Laraine started out as an artist and gained experience by working with art materials companies as well as owning her own gallery. She is a member of several art associations and served as Art Gallery Curator of the WBOA Gallery in Easthampton and as Art Director of Artspace in Westfield.

Her art has won numerous awards, been published in several magazines and graces the walls in both private and corporate collections throughout New England, as well as New York, North Carolina, Charleston, SC and London.
